Caching module automatically stores blocks HTML which are included in following layouts:
- catalog_category_view
- catalog product_view
- catalog_layer_view
- cms_page
- cms_block
It also supports caching of the portion of the page in case of dynamic content. That means if a page cannot be loaded fully from cache because of user specific content, which is different for every user, in that case our module stores only static blocks. Dynamic blocks are not stored!
Htaccess is optimized so that all images and css or js files are gziped and lifetime for browser cache is set to three weeks. Because of that there are a lot less resources needed from your server.
For merging you can request addfitional support because a lot of stores are not configured correctly and there are still different html elements presented after merging is enabled.
